Wiggins Lift Co., a U.S. manufacturer of heavy equipment, has introduced its Yard eBull, an electric forklift designed for ports and industrial yards seeking to cut emissions while maintaining high lifting capacity.
The Yard eBull can be configured to lift between 36,000 and 120,000 pounds and is equipped with enough battery capacity to operate for two to three shifts before recharging. When needed, the machine uses a standard automotive CCS port compatible with DC fast-charging systems, including hardware from ChargePoint.
“While Marina forklifts have been our bread and butter, the Zero Emission (ZE) industrial forklifts are quickly gaining and are anticipated to make up the bulk of our production within the next two to three years,” Micah McDowell, Wiggins Lift’s director of sales, told the American Journal of Transportation.
The company, founded in 1955 as a welding shop serving farmers, now focuses on customized heavy-duty equipment. McDowell said Wiggins aims to build forklifts to customer specifications rather than follow a “one-size-fits-all” model. “We want to make sure the customer receives a product that will perform exactly as they need it to for their operations,” he added.

According to Wiggins, customers using the electric forklifts have reported operating cost reductions of up to 80% due to lower fuel expenses and reduced downtime. The equipment is also designed to improve safety with features such as pedestrian boundary lights, backup cameras, motion alarms, and optional radar-based warnings.
Made in the United States with domestically sourced materials, the Yard eBull is compliant with Build America, Buy America requirements, the company said.
