Tesla has officially opened its long-anticipated Diner & Drive-In in Hollywood, California, blending classic Americana with futuristic tech alongside its expanding electric vehicle charging network.
The venue launched at 4:20 p.m. on Monday, drawing large crowds and signaling a new kind of destination charging experience.
The Tesla Diner & Drive-In features 80 v4 Supercharger stalls, a drive-in movie setup with dual 45-foot LED screens, and a menu inspired by traditional diner fare, according to Eater. Additional attractions include Tesla-branded merchandise and a display of the Optimus robot. While designed with Tesla drivers in mind, the facility appears intended to attract a broader public audience.
The Hollywood site marks Tesla’s first combination of EV charging infrastructure with themed food and entertainment. CEO Elon Musk indicated potential for global expansion of the concept, stating on X that if the diner proves successful, similar locations could be developed in major cities and long-distance Supercharger sites worldwide.
It remains to be seen whether the Hollywood location will become a long-term fixture, but the initial public interest suggests strong early momentum for the retro-futuristic concept.
