Subaru said it will launch its third all-electric model, the Uncharted, in early 2026, with plans to introduce the compact SUV coupé in both the United States and Europe. The new model follows the previously announced Trailseeker (to be sold as the electric Outback in Europe) and a refreshed version of the Solterra.
The Uncharted will be based on Toyota’s C-HR+ architecture, marking another step in the technical collaboration between Subaru and Toyota that began in 2019. The cooperation allows the Japanese automakers to share development and production resources, particularly for electric vehicles built on Toyota’s eTNGA platform. Subaru’s Solterra, launched in 2022, also shares that foundation.

“UK pricing and confirmed specifications will be announced closer to the time of launch,” Subaru stated. The company is positioning the Uncharted as an urban-focused model, with a coupé-style design to distinguish it from the more rugged, estate-like Trailseeker. While visually related to the Toyota C-HR+, the Uncharted receives a Subaru-specific rear end and front fascia.
The EV will be available in three variants powered by a 74.4 kWh NMC battery. In the U.S., the entry-level front-wheel drive model—Subaru’s first FWD in years—produces 165 kW and offers an estimated range of 300 miles (approximately 492 km). However, Subaru expects higher demand for the dual-motor AWD Sport and AWD GT trims, both delivering 252 kW and capable of 0–100 kph acceleration in around five seconds. These versions are projected to offer 290 miles (467 km) of range.

All variants will support 150 kW DC fast charging, with a 10 to 80 percent charge achievable in roughly 30 minutes. Subaru confirmed that models sold in the U.S. will come with a standard North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, allowing access to Tesla’s Supercharger network.
Inside, the Uncharted mirrors its Toyota counterpart with a 14-inch central touchscreen and an additional square-shaped digital display positioned behind the steering wheel. Full European specifications and pricing are expected to be detailed ahead of the model’s early 2026 market entry.
