Chinese electric vehicle maker Nio reported April deliveries of 23,900 units, marking a 53% increase from the same month a year earlier and a 59% rise compared to March, driven by strong demand for its premium Nio-branded models.
The April figure is the company’s second-highest monthly delivery volume to date, trailing only its record of 31,138 vehicles in December 2024. Deliveries under the Nio brand accounted for 19,269 units, representing an 88.6% increase from the previous month and a 23.4% year-on-year rise.

Deliveries from Onvo, Nio’s mass-market family-oriented brand, totaled 4,400 vehicles in April, down 8.7% from March. Meanwhile, Firefly, the company’s latest sub-brand, delivered 231 vehicles after launching its first model on April 19 and beginning deliveries on April 29.
Total deliveries for the January-April period reached 65,994 vehicles, an increase of 44.5% from the same period last year. The Nio brand contributed 46,582 units during this period, a 2% year-on-year increase, while Onvo delivered 19,181 vehicles.

As of April 30, Nio’s cumulative vehicle deliveries stood at 737,558, including 697,385 for the Nio brand, 39,942 for Onvo, and 231 for Firefly. The company continues to offer a five-year zero-interest financing program covering both Nio and Onvo models.
At the 2025 Shanghai auto show, Nio showcased vehicles from all three of its brands. Onvo unveiled its second model, the L90 SUV, which is expected to enter the market in the third quarter. The third-generation Nio ES8 SUV and Onvo’s third model, the L80 SUV, are scheduled to launch in the fourth quarter.

Nio also plans to update its core selling models — ET5, ET5 Touring, ES6, and EC6 — with its in-house developed Shenji NX9031 autonomous driving chip later this year.
