Toyota has launched the 2027 bZ electric SUV in the United States with a starting price of $34,980 before a $1,595 delivery fee. The updated model is available with front- or all-wheel drive, two battery capacities and a maximum EPA-estimated range of 314 miles.
The 2027 bZ is also on sale in Canada, where pricing starts at CA$45,985. U.S. deliveries are scheduled to begin at dealerships in September.
Toyota bZ Offers Multiple Powertrain Configurations
The 2027 Toyota bZ is offered in XLE and Limited grades in the U.S., with both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations.
The base XLE FWD uses a 57.7 kWh battery and produces 165 hp, with an EPA-estimated range of up to 236 miles. The XLE FWD Plus uses a 74.7 kWh battery and delivers 221 hp, with range of up to 314 miles.
The Limited FWD also produces 221 hp and uses the larger 74.7 kWh battery. All-wheel-drive versions use the 74.7 kWh battery and produce a combined 338 hp.

U.S. pricing starts at $34,980 for the XLE FWD, excluding delivery. The XLE FWD Plus starts at $37,980, while the higher grades carry higher starting prices.
NACS Port and Charging Features
The bZ comes with a built-in NACS charging port, allowing owners to use Tesla Supercharger stations without an adapter.
Toyota says the vehicle can charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes. The 2027 model also includes battery preconditioning to support charging performance in cold conditions.

Updated Interior and Digital Features
Toyota has also updated the bZ’s interior for the 2027 model year.
Standard equipment includes a 14-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The vehicle also receives a dual Qi wireless phone charger, ambient lighting, a top-mounted Multi-Information Display and a 7-inch customisable instrument cluster.
Toyota Updates 2027 Crown With Fifth-Generation Hybrid System
A six-speaker audio system is standard, while the Limited grade can be equipped with a nine-speaker JBL premium system.
All bZ variants are compatible with Toyota Digital Key, allowing a smartphone to be used in place of a conventional key.
The Limited grade adds 20-inch alloy wheels, a fixed panoramic glass moonroof, heated rear seats, SofTex-trimmed seating and a digital rearview mirror.
Toyota bZ Pricing and Range in Canada
In Canada, the 2027 Toyota bZ starts at CA$45,985 and is offered in three grades with front- and all-wheel-drive configurations.
The Canadian XLE FWD uses a 57.7 kWh battery and a single 168 hp electric motor, with a stated range of up to 468 kilometres.
All-wheel-drive versions use a 77 kWh battery and dual electric motors producing a combined 338 hp. Toyota lists range of up to 468 kilometres for these variants.
The Canadian model shares the updated styling, NACS charging port and other equipment with the U.S. version.
bZ Builds on Toyota’s Electric SUV Update
The 2027 model follows Toyota’s broader update of the bZ introduced for the 2026 model year, which brought changes including increased range, additional power, interior revisions and an integrated NACS charging port.
The bZ will continue to be offered across the U.S. market, with 2027 models expected to arrive at dealerships from September.
