2023 Lexus RZ 450e Electric Car Announced with Starting Price of $59,650

The Lexus RZ 450e is the company’s latest addition to its line of electric vehicles and is set to hit U.S. showrooms this year. With a starting price of $59,650, the RZ 450e Premium boasts an aggressive front design, complete with a fully enclosed grille, LED headlights and a panoramic glass roof. Other standard features include rain-sensing wipers, auto-dimming mirrors, hands-free power liftgate and 18-inch two-tone wheels.

The interior of the RZ 450e is elegantly designed, featuring a minimalist style with a heated steering wheel, digital instrument cluster and a 14-inch Lexus Interface system with support for wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Lexus RZ 450e Premium is a feature-packed crossover with a focus on luxury and convenience. The interior boasts NuLuxe upholstery and 8-way power front seats with heating and ventilation. Other amenities include a wireless smartphone charger, 10-speaker audio system, ambient lighting, and dual-zone climate control.

Despite being an entry-level model, the RZ 450e Premium comes with an impressive suite of driver assistance systems, including all-speed dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane tracing assist, road sign assist, panoramic view monitor, blind spot monitor, and rear cross-traffic alert. The crossover also has digital latches with safe exit assist and a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection and intersection support.

Powering the RZ 450e Premium is a 71.4 kWh battery that drives a dual-motor all-wheel drive system producing 313 hp. This allows the crossover to reach 0-60 mph in 5 seconds and have a range of approximately 220 miles on a single charge.

The RZ 450e Luxury, priced at $65,150, has a slightly lower estimated range of 196 miles, but compensates with upgrades such as Ultrasuede upholstery, Tsuyasumi trim, multicolor ambient lighting, heated rear seats, radiant front knee heater, and acoustic glass.

It also has a head-up display, 13-speaker Mark Levinson premium audio system, advanced park assist, traffic jam assist, and digital key technology. Note that the prices listed don’t include a $1,150 destination fee.
