Xpeng’s entry into the UK is a significant part of the company’s strategy to increase its presence in Europe, which has become one of the largest EV markets.
The UK is an important market for right-hand-drive vehicles, and Xpeng plans to establish 20 dealerships across the country in 2025. This expansion will be facilitated through a partnership with International Motors Ltd (IML), a distributor with decades of experience in the automotive sector.

The partnership with IML is expected to help provide widespread support for UK consumers, with IML managing the distribution and service operations for Xpeng vehicles. The collaboration will also ensure that customers have access to the company’s EV offerings and after-sales services.
In addition to the Xpeng G6, the brand’s lineup includes the Xpeng G9, a flagship intelligent SUV, and the Xpeng X9, a seven-seater smart EV.

The company’s move into the UK market comes as part of a broader push to expand its presence in Europe, having already established operations in 13 countries since 2021. Xpeng has also outlined plans to enter over 60 markets by the end of 2025.
Xpeng’s rapid growth in Europe is complemented by its strategic partnerships with Volkswagen and BP Pulse, aimed at developing a super-fast charging network to support its EVs. With these initiatives, Xpeng aims to continue advancing its position in the global electric vehicle market and contribute to the adoption of sustainable transportation solutions.
