Chinese electric vehicle maker Xpeng unveiled details of the extended-range version of its G7 sport utility vehicle, signaling a major step in its product rollout ahead of 2026. The automaker shared images and specifications of the model on social media, one day after previewing an extended-range variant of its facelifted P7+ sedan.
The G7 extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) will offer a combined driving range of up to 1,704 kilometers, which Xpeng described as the longest among SUVs currently on the market. The model delivers a pure electric range of 430 kilometers and is equipped with a 60-liter fuel tank and a 55.8-kWh battery pack.

Xpeng said this configuration provides the vehicle with “its own built-in supercharger,” easing range anxiety for long-distance travel. The model is based on an 800-volt high-voltage platform and supports 5C fast charging, enabling up to 314 kilometers of additional range in 12 minutes.
According to the company, the G7 EREV also features dual active noise cancellation systems, including environmental and road noise control, as well as AI-based range management.
Regulatory filings show the five-seat SUV measures 4,918 mm in length, 1,925 mm in width, and 1,655 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,890 mm. It is slightly longer than the battery-electric version of the G7, which debuted earlier this year.

The extended-range G7 is powered by a 1.5-liter engine supplied by Harbin Dongan Auto Engine, producing a maximum output of 110 kW, and uses lithium iron phosphate batteries supplied by Eve Energy.
The battery-electric version of the G7 was launched in July, starting at 195,800 yuan ($27,950). Xpeng’s latest unveiling underscores its push to broaden its powertrain offerings as it prepares for intensified competition in China’s increasingly crowded EV market.
