Xpeng has launched the extended-range electric version of its G7 crossover in China, offering up to 400 km of pure electric driving range and a combined range of 1,704 km, as the Chinese electric vehicle maker broadens its lineup to appeal to consumers seeking longer-distance capability.
The Xpeng G7 EREV starts at 195,800 yuan ($27,980) and is equipped with an 800-volt high-voltage architecture and 5C fast-charging capability. The model was unveiled alongside the 2026 model-year update of the fully electric G7, with both versions sharing the same exterior design and dimensions.

The mid-size crossover measures 4,918 mm in length, 1,925 mm in width and 1,655 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,890 mm. Xpeng said the vehicle offers a 779-litre luggage compartment and a cabin focused on comfort and digital features, including a 15.6-inch central touchscreen, an 87-inch augmented-reality head-up display and a 9-inch streaming rear-view mirror.
The EREV variant combines a 1.5-litre internal combustion engine producing 110 kW with a rear-mounted electric motor delivering 218 kW, supported by a 55.8 kWh battery pack and a 60-litre fuel tank. Xpeng said the configuration allows the G7 EREV to achieve long-distance capability while maintaining electric driving for daily use. The model also features a continuous damping control suspension system.

Xpeng said the G7 EREV is available in two trims, priced between 195,800 yuan and 205,800 yuan, and comes standard with dual Nvidia Drive Orin chips delivering 508 TOPS of computing power. Buyers can opt for more advanced driver-assistance packages using Xpeng-developed Turing AI chips, offering up to 2,250 TOPS.
