The scissor-door variant will feature sport seats, gray interior, 21-inch forged wheels, carbon fiber trim panels, and carbon fiber rearview mirrors, aiming to provide a premium sports experience. The P7 is currently the only Xpeng model to offer scissor doors.

The first-generation P7 debuted at the Shanghai Auto Show in April 2019, with deliveries starting in mid-2020. Xpeng introduced the P7 Wing Edition at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November 2020 as a flagship variant for enthusiasts.

The new-generation P7 was unveiled on August 6, with pre-sales underway, though the company has not disclosed official pricing. Xpeng previously indicated the model is targeting a price around RMB 300,000 ($41,840).

The new P7 comes standard with three Xpeng-developed Turing AI driving chips, providing an effective computing power of 2,250 TOPS, the highest for any Xpeng model to date. Xpeng expects the sedan to enhance brand appeal alongside its lower-priced Mona M03, which remains its best-selling model.
