Xpeng  announced today that the first production vehicles of its latest electric sedan, the P7+, have rolled off the assembly line at its Guangzhou manufacturing facility.

The Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker expects to begin deliveries of the model next month, according to a statement by Chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng on Weibo.

The P7+ has generated significant interest, with strong pre-sale orders reported since its introduction, according to Mr. He. “The Xpeng P7+ has seen strong orders since it began pre-sales,” he noted, adding that the company is in the final stages of ramping up mass production. The new sedan is now being shipped to Xpeng stores across China, where potential buyers are encouraged to visit and experience the vehicle firsthand.

Xpeng first showcased the P7+ to European consumers at an event in Paris on October 14. The model became available for pre-sales in China shortly after, with a starting price of RMB 209,800 (approximately $29,510).

However, as is often the case with new model launches in China, the price could be reduced further upon official release. Customers who place a refundable deposit of RMB 99 now are eligible for a RMB 3,000 discount when completing their purchase.

Xpeng confirmed that the P7+ will be officially launched in China in early November, when deliveries are also set to commence.
