Xiaomi EV, the electric vehicle division of Xiaomi Corp (HKG: 1810, OTCMKTS: XIACY), announced that its SU7 model achieved deliveries exceeding 10,000 units in July, marking the second consecutive month the figure has been surpassed.
The company did not disclose specific delivery numbers for July but indicated it plans to maintain this performance level in August and expects to reach its annual delivery goal of 100,000 units by November, ahead of schedule. “The delivery ramp-up of the Xiaomi SU7 was progressing well,” Xiaomi EV stated in a Weibo post on July 2. “The factory has opened double-shift production in June, and deliveries have exceeded 10,000 units in a single month.”
The SU7, launched on March 28, is available in three variants: standard, Pro, and Max, with starting prices of RMB 215,900 ($29,840), RMB 245,900, and RMB 299,900, respectively. Deliveries for the standard and Max versions began on April 3, while the SU7 Pro started deliveries in May.
Previously, Xiaomi EV reported monthly figures, including 7,058 units in April and 8,630 units in May. As of July 28, the company had recorded 11,400 insurance registrations for the SU7 in July, a significant increase from the 1,500 registrations the previous week.
Xiaomi founder and CEO Lei Jun confirmed on July 26 that the ramp-up in production capacity was complete and reiterated that the annual target of 100,000 units is expected to be achieved by early November. The company is also aiming to surpass the 120,000-unit mark by year-end, as stated in a May 23 earnings call.
