Xiaomi EV, the automotive arm of the Chinese tech giant Xiaomi, celebrated a significant achievement as it delivered its 10,000th unit of the SU7, its debut electric vehicle model. The company announced this milestone on Weibo, highlighting the achievement in just 43 days since April 3rd.
“We are thrilled to reach this milestone,” Xiaomi EV stated. “It reflects the strong demand and positive reception for the SU7 in the market.”
The company also reaffirmed its commitment to ramping up production to meet its ambitious target of delivering 100,000 units by the end of the year.
Xiaomi EV’s SU7, which launched on March 28, has garnered attention for its sleek design reminiscent of high-end sports cars, coupled with its competitive pricing strategy. The model offers three trim levels – standard, Pro, and Max – with prices starting at RMB 215,900 ($29,830), RMB 245,900, and RMB 299,900 respectively.
One of the key selling points for early adopters was the Founders Edition, a limited run of 5,000 units, deliveries for which began on April 3. Customized SU7 vehicles started shipping on April 18.
In April alone, Xiaomi EV delivered 7,058 units of the SU7, underscoring its popularity. As of April 30, the company had received orders for 88,063 units of the model.
