Xiaomi Auto is set to roll out an over-the-air (OTA) update to SU7 owners on June 6, with one of the key upgrades being the introduction of City NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) to eligible drivers. This update comes as Xiaomi also announced a reduction in the cooling down period for placing SU7 orders, from 7 days to 3 days.
The City NOA feature will be available for Xiaomi SU7 cars equipped with the Xiaomi Pilot Max intelligent driving operating system, specifically the SU7 Pro and SU7 Max models. Eligible drivers must have accumulated 1,000 kilometers of safe intelligent driving by the end of May 31, 2024. Initially, the City NOA system will operate in ten cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, among others, focusing on main roads in central areas. The system includes a road sensing feature to optimize routes.

The OTA update will also include upgrades to acceleration and deceleration comfort on ramps, improvements to the body feel when changing lanes at high speed, and enhancements to the smart parking feature. These upgrades will benefit all Xiaomi SU7 cars with intelligent driving capabilities.
Xiaomi SU7 cars equipped with the Pilot Max system are powered by 2 Nvidia Drive Orin chips, offering 508 TOPS computing power, and utilize Lidar as part of their sensor suite. Xiaomi aims to match the capabilities of industry leaders with its system this year.

Beyond driving assistance upgrades, the Xiaomi HyperOS 1.2.0 update will introduce a new nap mode to create a relaxing atmosphere for occupants to rest. Additionally, various upgrades to the smart cockpit will enhance the user experience.
Starting June 5, Xiaomi will reduce the cooling down period after placing an order from 7 days to 3 days, although this change may apply only to large orders. The company has also implemented a second shift at its plant, aiming to deliver over 10,000 cars this month for the first time, following May’s record-high deliveries of 8,630 cars.
