Xiaomi Auto Technology has patented an electric car battery charging system to increase its competition to produce electric vehicles. The new patent has been approved by the China Intellectual Property Organization (CNIPO) and also reported by the global body, WIPO. Xiaomi has several times stated its plans to produce its first electric car by 2024.
The new exclusive filling system is an end-to-end system with smart or automatic operation during use. This battery charging system can rival Tesla’s Supercharger architecture and can be integrated into any home or office network.
The development of such a charging system will give Xiaomi a big boost. However, information on system compatibility with universal battery architectures is lacking. The utility is badly affected if it doesn’t have such compatibility.
Xiaomi is getting closer to launching its first electric car in 2024. Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi, hopes to make a presentation of Xiaomi’s electric car before he finishes his tenure in a few years. Xiaomi Auto Technology needs to keep a close eye on the highly competitive electric car market to present its first vehicle.
This Chinese company will compete with several big competitors in the market such as Tesla to gain market share.
