XCharge North America, the U.S. subsidiary of EV charging provider XCHG Limited, said on Tuesday it has signed an exclusive agreement with Roady’s Truck Stops to supply electric vehicle (EV) charging equipment across more than 500 independently owned Roady’s franchise locations in the United States.
Under the deal, XCharge NA becomes the sole provider of EV charging hardware and solutions for Roady’s vendor purchasing program, offering adaptable options for franchisees ranging from single-site operators to multi-location businesses.
“Many of our members are small business owners, and we are committed to empowering them to operate their business in whatever way fits their individual needs,” said John Fechik, consultant to Roady’s & PTP Truck Stops. “XCharge NA’s innovative and user-friendly chargers will help our members attract new customers to their locations and drive revenue amid economic volatility.”
XCharge NA will offer two flexible business models: a “Purchase and Operate” model where owners buy and manage the equipment while keeping 100% of charging revenue, and a turnkey development option that includes hardware, installation, monitoring, and maintenance.
The agreement aims to address the growing demand for EV charging infrastructure in rural and truck-heavy corridors. Roady’s selected XCharge NA in part for its advanced product line, including the GridLink charger, which supports grid resilience, and a new Virtual Point of Sale system developed with Stripe, Inc.
“As demand for EVs continues to increase, there is an opportunity to develop EV infrastructure that both improves the North American electric grid and supports the small and independent businesses vital to our economy,” said Aatish Patel, co-founder and president of XCharge NA.
