The HOUND is available in two models: the base model and the Supercharged model. Both models feature a custom-developed frame that is optimized for utility riding, complete with an extra-long rear rack and a fairly upright seating posture. The frame is equipped with a powerful mid-drive motor, a big battery, ultra-fat tires in 26″ x 4.7″ size, and quad-piston hydraulic disc brakes.
While both models share the same frame, the size and power of the motor and battery vary between the two. The base model HOUND comes with a 52V 17Ah battery with 884 Wh of capacity. According to the company, this provides a real-world throttle range of 30 miles (51 km) and a pedal assist range of 80 miles (130 km). In contrast, the Supercharged model is equipped with a massive 52V 60Ah battery with 3,210 Wh of capacity. With this battery, the company claims riders can achieve 100 solid miles (160 km) on throttle-only riding or 200 miles (320 km) on pedal assist.
In addition to the impressive battery, the Supercharged model also comes with a 52V 5A fast charger and an EV charger with a J1772 connector, giving riders multiple options for quickly recharging their bike.
When it comes to motors, the base model is equipped with a Bafang Ultra motor, which provides 1,000W of power. The Supercharged version, however, comes with an upgraded Bafang Ultra that replaces its stock controller with an X1 controller. This increases the power to 3 kW nominal and 3.5 kW peak. While this power may not be street-legal for use on public roads and cycleways in the US, it is perfect for off-roading adventures.
The HOUND was designed after extensive consultation with serious campers and hunters, making it the ultimate bike for off-road adventures.
