Wacker Neuson has introduced three new electric construction vehicles, expanding its zero-emission lineup with a focus on reduced noise levels and fast charging capabilities. The company plans to unveil the new models at the Bauma trade fair in Munich next month.
The latest additions include the EZ26e and EZ10e electric excavators, with payload capacities of 2.6 tons and one ton, respectively. While detailed specifications for the EZ10e are yet to be disclosed, Wacker Neuson confirmed that the EZ26e will be available with two battery options—30 kWh and 40 kWh—and can be charged via a household outlet or a high-voltage power supply, thanks to an onboard 9.9 kW charging system. The charging process can be further accelerated using a DC20 rapid charger.
The launch reinforces Wacker Neuson’s commitment to electrification, which began with the introduction of an electric rammer in 2015. The company has since expanded its zero-emission portfolio to include electric mini excavators, dumpers, wheel loaders, rollers, and vibrating plates, aiming to support fully electric construction sites. Its goal is to reduce emissions and noise pollution, making its equipment suitable for noise-sensitive environments and nighttime operations.
At Bauma, which runs from April 7 to 13, Wacker Neuson will also showcase the WL300e electric wheel loader and a new line of battery-electric trowels. The trowels utilize the Battery One system, a swappable battery technology developed in collaboration with manufacturers such as Mikasa, Swepac, and Enar. This system powers various smaller tools, including electric rammers, internal vibrators, and plates.
