Volkswagen AG is offering competitive lease deals on its 2025 ID.4 electric SUV, with monthly payments starting at $129 in California and select West Coast states, the company said.
The offer comes as the ID.4 has become the third-best-selling electric vehicle in the U.S. for January 2025.
The lease deal applies to a 24-month term with $2,499 due at signing, resulting in an effective monthly cost of $233. By comparison, a 2025 Volkswagen Jetta S is listed at $269 per month for 36 months, with $3,999 due at signing, making the ID.4 a significantly more affordable option despite its higher sticker price. In other U.S. regions, the ID.4 lease is listed at $329 per month with $4,499 due at signing.

The ID.4 is available in five trims—Pro, AWD Pro, Pro S, AWD Pro S, and AWD Pro S Plus—with the base ID.4 Pro RWD starting at $45,095 and offering up to 291 miles of driving range.
Lease offers are set to expire on September 30, coinciding with the end of the federal EV tax credit, which may reduce the incentive for prospective buyers unless Volkswagen provides additional promotions.

While the ID.4 lease deal is among the lowest on the market, Hyundai’s 2025 IONIQ 5 remains a competitive alternative, with leases starting at $179 per month nationwide.
Volkswagen’s promotion highlights automakers’ efforts to encourage adoption of electric vehicles through region-specific incentives and favorable financing options.
