TPS, Volkswagen Group UK’s parts distribution business, is continuing to expand the use of electric vehicles in its delivery fleet, with more than one in ten vehicles now fully electric.
Over the past year, TPS has more than doubled the number of EVs in its fleet, which totals around 680 vehicles. The business operates 83 TPS centres across the UK, supplying Volkswagen Group parts to independent garages and bodyshops, primarily for passenger vehicles from brands including Audi, SEAT, CUPRA, Skoda and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
TPS is now using 88 electric vehicles for parts deliveries, including models such as the CUPRA Born, Volkswagen ID. Buzz Cargo and Volkswagen eTransporter. Volkswagen Group UK said the expansion follows successful pilot programmes involving the CUPRA Born and ID. Buzz Cargo, and is intended to support further electrification of the fleet as vehicles are renewed in 2026.
Catherine Baker, One Aftersales Director at Volkswagen Group UK, said the additional EVs represent progress in the company’s efforts to reduce emissions linked to parts distribution. She said accelerating the transition to electric vehicles would help lower the business’s UK carbon footprint while supporting changes to its delivery operations.
TPS first began introducing electric vehicles into its delivery network in 2023, when it placed initial orders for CUPRA Born models for sites across the UK and the north of Ireland.
