The double-decker electric bus (double-decker bus), Van Hool TDX25E managed to make history by successfully covering a distance of up to 4,023 km.
Van Hool TDX25E has passed various tests in different road conditions and also very varied weather conditions to see the ability of the battery mileage.
In terms of specifications, this double-decker bus is equipped with a Siemens ELFA II electric motor which has a maximum power of up to 360 kW and a torque of 4,242 Nm.
The Van Hool TDX25E uses a 676 kWh battery from Proterra (E2), which can be utilized to achieve a range of up to 418 kilometers.
For normal charging, the bus battery can be fully charged in 3.5 hours with a charging capacity of 147 kWh.
ABC Companies as the official distributor of Van Hool in the US claim that the Van Hool TDX25E double-decker bus is currently the largest electric vehicle currently operating on the road. The electric double-decker bus is capable of reaching speeds of up to 114 kph.
This electric double-decker bus comes with dimensions of 13,895 mm in length, 3,505 mm in height, 2,590 mm in width and a wheelbase (GVW) of 7,735 mm and has 69 seats, 69 including 18 seats in the lower cabin and 51 seats in the upper cabin.
