Tesla has officially taken the wraps off its highly anticipated 2024 Model 3, revealing a host of enhancements including a revamped exterior, interior upgrades, and a significant boost in its range capabilities.
In line with the evolutionary progression of mid-life facelift models, the most noticeable alterations are concentrated at the front and rear facias of the Model 3. At the front, the vehicle showcases a sleek pair of LED headlights with integrated daytime running lights, positioned above a reimagined bumper featuring sharper lines and a fresh lower grille opening. Similarly, the rear end has undergone a rejuvenation, highlighted by new LED taillights. The EV manufacturer has also introduced two new wheel options – the 18-inch Photon and 19-inch Nova wheels – to complement the vehicle’s aesthetic.

However, the focal point of transformation lies within the cabin. While preserving the minimalist ethos, Tesla has introduced a novel dashboard design for the Model 3. This updated configuration boasts ambient lighting that elegantly traverses across the dashboard and seamlessly merges into the door panels. Speaking of which, the vehicle now features redesigned door panels. A remarkable inclusion is the new steering wheel, which incorporates the turn signals, effectively eliminating the need for traditional stalks on the steering column. Notably, the gear selector has been relocated to the touchscreen, a design choice that is poised to generate discussions among enthusiasts.
Interior comfort and functionality have been further improved with revamped seats, now equipped with a ventilated feature for front passengers. Additionally, customers have the option to equip the new Model 3 with an enhanced 17-speaker sound system. Furthermore, Tesla has managed to augment the trunk’s size, expanding it from 561 liters (19.8 cubic feet) to 594 liters (20.9 cubic feet). Rear passengers now enjoy an 8-inch touchscreen, offering control over climate settings and various entertainment options. The central infotainment screen has also undergone an upgrade, growing from 15 inches to 15.4 inches with sleeker bezels.
While detailed specifications for the refreshed Model 3 in the United States are still pending, it has been confirmed that the European version will benefit from an impressive 11-12% increase in range. Noteworthy figures include the Standard Range RWD variant achieving up to 344 miles (554 km) on the WLTP cycle, and the Long Range model boasting an extended range of 421 miles (677 km). In terms of performance, the Standard Range accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.1 seconds, while the Long Range, featuring dual electric motors, accomplishes the same feat in just 4.4 seconds. Details regarding the facelifted Model 3 Performance variant are yet to be disclosed.
Although specifics regarding potential battery enhancements remain undisclosed, it is worth highlighting the noteworthy reduction in drag coefficient from 0.23Cd to 0.219 Cd, contributing to the overall improved range of the vehicle. Tesla’s commitment to innovation and performance is evident in the meticulous refinements brought forth in the 2024 Model 3, offering automotive enthusiasts and eco-conscious consumers a compelling package of style and substance.
