Tesla reported its highest-ever monthly sales in South Korea in July 2025, delivering 7,357 vehicles, according to data from the Korea Automobile Importers & Distributors Association (KAIDA). The figure secured Tesla’s position as the country’s top-selling imported car brand for a second consecutive month.

The Model Y continued to lead the market, maintaining its spot as South Korea’s best-selling imported vehicle for the third month in a row. The Model 3 ranked second among imported electric vehicles, with Tesla accounting for 72% of all imported EV registrations in July.

Tesla noted its appreciation to customers in a post on X, stating, “We continue to accelerate the transition to sustainable energy — and we couldn’t do it without you.”

The company’s July results followed a record-breaking June, when it topped South Korea’s imported car sales chart for the first time since entering the market. Tesla sold 6,570 vehicles that month, surpassing Mercedes-Benz and BMW. The Model Y alone contributed 6,237 units, representing nearly 95% of Tesla’s total sales in June.

The launch of the updated Model Y has helped Tesla capture around 20% of South Korea’s imported car market while contributing to rising EV adoption. In May, electric vehicles accounted for 33.8% of all imported car sales, up more than 60% year-on-year, with Tesla leading the segment.
