Tesla has begun rolling out its Supervised Full Self-Driving (FSD) software to a limited number of Cybertruck owners, marking a significant development for the vehicle almost a year after its launch in November 2023.

According to a post onĀ cybertruckownersclub forum, access to the FSD feature has been enabled with the 2024.32.20 software update, labeled as ā€œearly access.ā€

This rollout follows Teslaā€™s initial delivery of the Cybertruck, which notably lacked the FSD capability upon release, unlike previous models such as the Model 3 and Model Y.

The Cybertruck, being substantially different in design and technology from other Tesla vehicles, required more extensive software adjustments. At launch, Tesla had sold access to the FSD software but informed buyers that the system would not be functional until further notice.

According to a forum post on Cybertruck Owners Club, the first users are now receiving the update. “Some users have started getting access to FSD (Supervised) as of today,” the post said. While this is a significant milestone, the release is currently limited to those in Teslaā€™s early access program. A broader rollout to all Cybertruck owners is expected in the coming weeks.

Earlier in September, Tesla had promised that Cybertruck would have FSD functionality by the end of the month. Although the software is only available to select users, Tesla technically met this deadline, shipping the update just before the end of September.

The company also indicated that further updates, including FSD version 13, will be released next month, with expectations of increased autonomous driving capabilities. Tesla plans to expand the availability of FSD to China and Europe in the first quarter of next year, pending regulatory approval.
