Previously, Tesla had targeted returning production capacity to pre-lockdown levels by May 16, but an updated report says Tesla has delayed the plan by at least a week.
Tesla is also experiencing uncertainty regarding spare parts supply, as suppliers in Shanghai and beyond have not returned to normal.
Giga Shanghai shut down production activities as the local government announced a gradual lockdown from March 28 and officially started to resume production on April 19, with 8,000 employees returning to their jobs, according to local media reports.
