Tesla has begun rolling out a new feature within its mobile application called the Charging Passport, which provides owners with a personalized, annual summary of their electric vehicle (EV) charging activities and associated road trips. The feature, which is being deployed incrementally, transforms raw charging data into a more visual and engaging year-in-review format.
The Charging Passport functions as a gamified summary, compiling key metrics and awarding owners with “Charging Badges” for achieving specific milestones or visiting designated Supercharger locations.

Examples of the digital badges mentioned include the ‘Iconic Charging badge’ for visiting landmarks like the Los Angeles Tesla Diner or the Oasis Supercharger in California, and the ‘Explorer’ or ‘Green Saver’ badges for other charging accomplishments.
The summary provides a detailed look at an owner’s charging habits throughout the year, including:
- Total number of unique Supercharger stations visited
- Total Supercharging sessions completed
- Mileage added across all charging stops
- The owner’s top charging day of the year
- The longest trip powered by Supercharging
- Favorite locations where the vehicle is plugged in most often
While Tesla has historically offered charging statistics, this enhancement provides a more cohesive and retrospective look at the battery-powered lifestyle.

The company stated that the feature is rolling out to owners via the Tesla app. Users can access their Charging Passport by opening the app and navigating to the ‘Charging’ section on the homepage, though availability may initially be dependent on region or app version.
