Tesla has begun deliveries of its refreshed Model Y in Europe, with the first vehicle handed over on Friday, the company announced on its social media channels. Ahead of the launch, numerous trucks carrying Model Y Juniper units had been spotted on German motorways, signaling the imminent rollout.
Tesla locations had also received display and demonstration vehicles in recent weeks, making the start of customer deliveries widely anticipated.

The ‘Launch Series’ of the updated Model Y, available for order since January, is currently being delivered, while additional variants can now be ordered with deliveries slated for later dates. In the UK, the first ‘Launch Series’ models are scheduled to arrive in May, followed by other configurations in June. Prices for the rear-wheel drive version start at £44,990.
The Model Y has been Tesla’s best-selling vehicle in Europe, particularly those built at Giga Berlin. However, sales have declined sharply in recent months. In Germany, Tesla registered 1,429 vehicles in February 2025, a 76.3% drop from the same month in 2024.

Of those, 1,035 were Model Y units, placing the model in seventh position among new registrations. A year earlier, 5,408 Model Y units had been sold in Germany. Across the European Union, Tesla delivered 7,517 battery electric vehicles (BEVs) in February, marking a 50% year-over-year decline.
The effect of the Model Y’s facelift, along with factors such as CEO Elon Musk’s political activities, on consumer demand remains uncertain. As production ramps up and deliveries accelerate, the true level of demand for the revised model will become clearer in the coming months.

To clear inventory of pre-facelift Model Y units, Tesla is offering a 0% financing deal, while the new Juniper version is available with a 5.9% APR through a balloon loan. Additionally, buyers of pre-configured Model Y vehicles ordered from March 6, 2025, and delivered by March 31, 2025, will receive one year of free fast charging at Tesla’s Supercharger network. The offer is linked to the originally named driver and is non-transferable if the vehicle changes ownership.
