Suzuki unveiled official pricing for its first fully electric vehicle, the e Vitara, which will start at £29,999 in the UK ahead of its sales launch in July. The entry-level model is equipped with a 49 kWh battery, while larger 61 kWh variants will retail between £32,999 and £37,799.
The e Vitara will be offered in two trim levels—Motion and Ultra—with the top-tier model featuring Suzuki’s new ALLGRIP-e four-wheel-drive system. “This system not only provides powerful performance but also allows for precise control with excellent responsiveness,” Suzuki said in a statement.
To incentivize early orders, Suzuki is including a free Ohme home charger and 10,000 miles of complimentary home charging credit for customers who place orders before the end of September.
While UK deliveries are expected to begin shortly, production delays in India—where Suzuki’s subsidiary Maruti Suzuki manufactures the e Vitara—may limit initial availability. Maruti recently said it would reduce its electric SUV production targets due to supply constraints.
Suzuki says the base model of the e Vitara delivers up to 106 kW of power and 189 Nm of torque, while the top version, featuring dual motors, offers a combined 176 kW and up to 300 Nm of torque. The range tops out at 428 km on a full charge.
