The Stelato S9T, a new energy station wagon jointly developed by Huawei and state-owned automaker BAIC. Priced from 328,000 yuan ($45,670), the model drew strong early interest, securing 10,000 orders within one hour of its release ceremony.
The S9T comes in both battery electric vehicle (BEV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) versions, showcasing advanced features such as air suspension and Huawei’s ADS 4 driver-assistance system.

From the outside, the Stelato S9T reflects the sleek design language of its sibling sedan, the Stelato S9. Measuring 5,160 mm long, 2,005 mm wide, and 1,492 mm tall with a 3,050 mm wheelbase, it is notably larger than the Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain Wagon.
Its exterior highlights include a closed front fascia with gauntlet-shaped headlights, multi-spoke chrome rims, retractable door handles, a sporty roof spoiler, and a continuous light bar at the rear. Customers can choose from six body colors, while air suspension and a continuous damping control system come as standard equipment.

Inside, the S9T emphasizes comfort and technology. The cabin integrates three digital screens, including a 16.1-inch central display, a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, and another 12.3-inch screen for the front passenger. Premium features include heated, ventilated, and massaging seats, a zero-gravity front passenger seat, and even an optional 32-inch projector for rear passengers.
A 25-speaker Huawei Sound system, built-in refrigerator, and up to 660 liters of trunk capacity further reinforce its family-oriented appeal. Buyers can select from four interior color schemes: orange, dark brown, white, and light brown.

Powertrain options add to its versatility. The BEV version comes with a rear-mounted 227 kW (304 hp) motor or a dual-motor AWD setup delivering 385 kW (516 hp). Equipped with a 100 kWh CATL NMC battery, the RWD model achieves up to 801 km of range under CLTC conditions.
Meanwhile, the EREV version offers 37 kWh or 53.4 kWh batteries paired with a 1.5-liter range extender. The larger pack enables 354 km of pure electric driving, while the hybrid system stretches the total range to 1,305 km.
The S9T is available in four trims:
-
EREV Max RWD – 328,000 yuan ($45,670)
-
BEV Max RWD – 348,000 yuan ($48,450)
-
EREV Ultra RWD – 368,000 yuan ($51,240)
-
BEV Ultra AWD – 388,000 yuan ($54,020)
Although overseas expansion has not yet been confirmed, Huawei and BAIC are expected to focus primarily on boosting sales in the domestic market, given the underwhelming performance of the Stelato S9 sedan, which sold 15,068 units between October 2024 and July 2025.
