A new spy photo of the Onvo L60, the inaugural model from Nio’s sub-brand Onvo, is making rounds on social media, building anticipation as the brand approaches its official unveiling.

The photo, circulating in various WeChat groups, showcases an undisguised Onvo L60 parked next to a Nio battery swap station. This is the first time the side profile of the Onvo L60 has been revealed without camouflage, revealing a design reminiscent of Nio’s coupe SUV model, the EC6.

An earlier sighting of an undisguised Onvo L60 on April 12 provided a detailed look at the model’s rear, both instances showcasing the vehicle in a vibrant red color.

Nio is expected to reveal the Onvo brand officially later this month, with the launch of the Onvo L60 potentially slated for the fourth quarter, as indicated by the company’s management.

Similar to Nio’s existing models, Onvo’s lineup will support battery swap technology, allowing for a fully charged battery in approximately three minutes. This feature will also enable Onvo to offer a Battery as a Service (BaaS) model, mirroring Nio’s approach and resulting in a significantly lower starting price for the vehicles.

Onvo, known internally as Alps, is primarily aimed at the market segment with prices ranging from RMB 200,000 ($27,720) to RMB 300,000. Recently, a camouflaged Onvo L60 was spotted exiting a Nio battery swap station, marking the first public sighting of the model undergoing a battery swap.
