Source, the joint venture between SSE and TotalEnergies, has signed a roaming agreement with GreenFlux to connect its UK rapid charging network to the company’s European platform. The partnership will give customers of more than 100 e-mobility service providers access to Source charging hubs using their existing charging apps or cards.
The agreement allows participating drivers to use Source’s charging infrastructure without registering for a separate account, expanding the network’s reach among EV users across Europe.
Connecting Source to Europe’s Charging Network
Founded in the Netherlands in 2011, GreenFlux provides charging software and roaming services for charge point operators and e-mobility service providers. Acquired by DKV Mobility in 2021, the company connects more than 540 charge point operators through a roaming network comprising over 1.2 million charging points.
Its platform manages the technical connections, commercial agreements and payment processing required for drivers to access participating charging networks through existing services. GreenFlux’s platform represents more than 20 million charging tokens.
The company has been expanding its UK roaming coverage since 2024 through partnerships with operators including Clenergy EV, Kerb and Osprey. Source’s addition further extends the range of charging locations available to drivers using participating GreenFlux-connected services.
Source Targets 3,000 Charging Points
The SSE and TotalEnergies joint venture plans to install up to 3,000 ultra-rapid charging points across 300 hubs in the UK and Ireland over the next five years.
Source’s sites feature chargers rated at 150 kW or higher and typically provide at least 10 charging bays. The company says charging can often be completed in around 15 minutes, depending on the vehicle and charging conditions.
Freerik Meeuwes, director of sales and operations at GreenFlux, said the agreement would expand the platform’s presence in the UK.
“Linking up with Source is an important step for us to further grow our network in an important and fast-growing EV charging market like the UK. Source has a strong and ambitious strategy that guarantees fast charging will only become more accessible to EV drivers in the coming years.”
Alice Aprile-Smith, head of partnerships and business development at Source, said the agreement would help more drivers discover its charging hubs.
“Every network we connect to is a chance for more drivers to discover Source for the first time. Being part of GreenFlux’s roaming network makes it easier for their drivers to find us here in the UK. Once they do, we want the experience to speak for itself – fast, reliable charging with real-time availability, in hubs that are easy to use from the very first visit.”
Builds on Earlier OVO Energy Partnership
The GreenFlux agreement follows Source’s earlier roaming partnership with OVO Energy. In August 2025, OVO Charge customers gained access to Source’s charging hubs through the OVO app or charging card, including for fleet use.
The latest deal extends that access beyond a single service provider to customers using a wider range of European charging services. For Source, the expanded roaming connections could increase utilisation of its hubs, while GreenFlux’s network gains additional rapid-charging locations in the UK.
