Sony is confirmed to continue the Vision-S electric car project. Now the project is called Vision-S 01 for the sedan type and Vision-S 02 for the SUV or crossover model.
In terms of appearance, the Vision-S 02 adopts a compact form, at a glance resembling the Tesla Model Y. The fascia is similar to the Vision S-01 model, with the characteristic LED headlights connected to the lightbar on the hood. Unlike the Vision-S 01 wheels, the 02 model uses 20-inch alloy wheels.
Sony says the new EV crossover uses the same platform as the Vision-S 01. Dimensionally, it measures 4,985mm in length, 1,930mm in width and 1,650mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,030mm.
Speaking of performance, this car is powered by a pair of electric motors, one on each axle, each producing 200 kW (268 horsepower), with an all-wheel drive system. There is no specific information about battery specs or mileage, but Sony claims the top speed of this car can reach more than 180 km / h.

Moving to the interior, this car is equipped with three large screens that widen on the dashboard. The center console is also equipped with a touch screen, which can control the air conditioning system. Then behind the front seats there is a set of screens that can be enjoyed by rear passengers. Although it looks compact, the Vision-S 02 comes with three rows of seats.
Not only making electric vehicles, Sony also announced that they will establish a new company called Sony Mobility Inc.. With the establishment of the new company, Sony is expected to be more prepared to enter the environmentally friendly vehicle industry.
