Smart has introduced a high-performance version of its all-electric #5 SUV, developed in partnership with German tuner Brabus, marking the latest expansion of the brand’s electric lineup following its European debut less than three weeks ago.
The Smart #5 Brabus, now the most powerful variant in the series, delivers 475 kW of power and accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in 3.8 seconds using launch mode. That compares with 432 kW and 4.9 seconds for the existing Pulse and Summit editions, and 250 kW and 6.9 seconds for the base Pro model.

The vehicle is built on an 800-volt architecture that supports charging at up to 400 kW. According to Smart, the 100 kWh battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes. Despite the power increase, the model retains a WLTP-certified range of 540 kilometres, consistent with the other high-end versions of the #5.
“This vehicle embodies our vision of electric performance and redefines what customers can expect from an electric SUV with powerful dynamics, top connectivity features and finest craftsmanship in the interior for an unmatched driving experience,” said Dirk Adelmann, CEO of Smart Europe.

Interior enhancements also include ambient lighting with 256 colour options and branded pedals.
The infotainment system consists of dual 13-inch OLED displays and a 20-speaker Sennheiser audio system with a peak output of 1,190 watts.
