Skoda Auto has unveiled its latest flagship electric vehicle, the Enyaq RS, marking a significant upgrade to its Enyaq family. The new RS variant is offered in both SUV and Coupé body styles, and becomes the brand’s fastest-accelerating and most powerful electric model to date, with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup producing 250 kW of system output.
The Enyaq RS is part of Skoda’s broader EV strategy and follows the recent launch of the compact Elroq RS, which debuted in April with a starting price of just over €53,000. While pricing for the Enyaq RS has not yet been confirmed, it is expected to exceed that of the Elroq RS and the current top Enyaq variant, the 85x, which is listed at €51,150. Both RS versions are now rolling off the production line in Mladá Boleslav alongside the ICE-powered Octavia.

Equipped with a new 79-kWh battery (84 kWh gross), the Enyaq RS supports peak DC charging at up to 185 kW, allowing a standard charge from 10 to 80 per cent in just 26 minutes. In comparison, the Enyaq 85x uses a 77-kWh battery and charges at up to 175 kW. Despite the powertrain enhancements, the RS maintains a competitive WLTP range of 550 kilometres for the SUV and 560 kilometres for the Coupé variant.
Under the rear axle, Skoda has deployed the 210 kW APP550 electric motor, a permanently excited synchronous motor shared with other Volkswagen Group EVs, which delivers 545 Nm of torque and improved efficiency. Paired with the front axle motor, the combined system generates the full 250 kW output, enabling the RS to sprint from 0 to 100 kph in just 5.4 seconds.

For the first time in the Enyaq lineup, Skoda has also introduced bidirectional DC charging, a key feature enabling vehicle-to-home (V2H) energy transfer. While technical specifications have yet to be disclosed, the system is expected to allow users to store energy generated by home solar panels in the vehicle’s battery and discharge it back into the home during peak demand periods—similar to V2H functionality already seen in some Ford and Hyundai EVs.
Standard equipment on the RS includes Matrix LED headlights, an illuminated Tech-Deck front panel, 20-inch alloy wheels (21-inch optional), and a suite of advanced driver-assistance and comfort features. Sports suspension is also included as standard, lowering the front axle by 15 mm and the rear by 10 mm, enhancing agility and performance. Adaptive chassis control and progressive steering are offered as options and can be adjusted via selectable drive profiles.

Skoda has also improved braking performance for the RS, adding twin-piston callipers at the front to match the model’s increased output and weight. Two external sound profiles are assigned to different drive modes, providing auditory feedback in line with the car’s performance characteristics.
Inside the cabin, the RS models feature Skoda’s ‘Design Selection RS Lounge’ as standard, which includes black sports seats with Lime Green contrast stitching, a mix of microfibre and synthetic leather materials, and a carbon-look dashboard finish. An optional upgrade to the ‘Design Selection RS Suite’ adds leather/synthetic leather upholstery with grey contrast stitching for a more refined appearance.

Other interior features include a heated multifunction sports steering wheel, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat with massage function, three-zone climate control, acoustic front window glazing, tinted rear windows, and all-round parking sensors. Infotainment and navigation are handled by an integrated system that includes a Canton premium sound system and an augmented reality head-up display.
The new RS variant is available in a range of standard Enyaq colours, as well as an exclusive launch colour, Mamba Green, which will be reserved for RS models only.

“With the Enyaq vRS and Enyaq Coupé vRS, we have made the range toppers of the new Enyaq family even more dynamic, while maintaining their high level of comfort and everyday usability,” said Johannes Neft, Skoda Auto Board Member for Technical Development.
The introduction of the Enyaq RS comes as Skoda continues to expand its electric vehicle offerings on Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform, amid growing competition in the European EV market. With its enhanced charging capabilities, high-performance drivetrain, and bidirectional charging readiness, the Enyaq RS positions Skoda as a stronger player in the performance-oriented electric SUV segment.
