Skoda Auto has produced 100,000 units of its all-electric Elroq compact SUV within less than a year of starting series production, underlining the rapid market uptake of the model across Europe. The milestone vehicle, an Elroq vRS finished in Hyper Green, rolled off the production line at the automaker’s main plant in Mladá Boleslav, where the model has been built since early 2025.

The Elroq is the first production model to feature Skoda’s new Modern Solid design language and is manufactured on a flexible production line alongside the Enyaq electric SUV and the MQB-based Octavia. The setup allows parallel production of battery-electric and internal combustion engine vehicles, enabling the company to adjust output in line with shifting market demand.

Andreas Dick, Skoda Auto board member for production and logistics, said the achievement reflected extensive preparation and targeted adjustments to manufacturing processes, adding that the flexibility to build electric and combustion models side by side had been built into the system from the outset.

The production milestone comes as the Elroq gains traction across key European markets. During the first three quarters of 2025, Skoda delivered nearly 120,000 battery-electric vehicles globally. In Europe, the Elroq ranked as the second best-selling BEV over the period, while the Enyaq placed sixth.

The Elroq has emerged as the top-selling electric vehicle in the Czech Republic, Denmark and Slovakia, and ranks among the top three BEVs in Austria, the Netherlands and Switzerland. In the UK, the model accounts for about 12% of Skoda’s total year-to-date sales.

Germany remains Skoda’s single largest market. The Elroq recorded 3,320 registrations there in October 2025, making it the country’s best-selling electric vehicle for the month. The compact SUV also achieved Europe’s overall best-selling BEV status in April, July and October, according to company data.

Alongside its commercial performance, the Elroq has received several industry accolades. The model has won the Red Dot Design Award and was recently named German Car of the Year 2026. A jury of 40 German and international automotive journalists selected the Elroq as the overall winner from a field of 80 new vehicles, citing strengths in quality, environmental performance, price-to-performance ratio, handling and drivetrain evaluation.
