Czech automaker Skoda has released the first technical specifications of its upcoming fully electric Epiq, outlining three powertrain variants as the brand prepares to unveil the compact model in the first half of 2026.
The Epiq will be offered with outputs ranging from 85 kilowatts to 155 kilowatts, combining two battery chemistries and three performance levels. The entry-level Epiq 35 produces 85 kW, while the Epiq 40 delivers 99 kW. Both versions use a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery with a gross capacity of 38.5 kilowatt-hours and a WLTP range of up to 315 kilometres. The range-topping Epiq 55 features a 155 kW motor paired with a 55-kWh nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) battery, extending driving range to around 430 kilometres.

All variants support 11 kW AC charging. Maximum DC charging power varies by model, with the base Epiq 35 limited to 50 kW, the Epiq 40 capable of 90 kW, and the Epiq 55 supporting up to 133 kW. According to Skoda, the LFP battery can charge from 10% to 80% in around 28 minutes at 90 kW, while the NMC battery achieves the same charge level in 23 minutes.
The Epiq is based on the Volkswagen Group’s small-car MEB+ platform and uses the APP290 front-wheel-drive electric motor. Skoda says torque output differs slightly between variants, with 267 Nm for the two LFP versions and higher performance reserved for the NMC-equipped model. The Epiq 55 accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds, compared with 11.0 seconds for the base model.

“The Epiq will bring Skoda’s typical practicality and efficiency into the entry-level electric segment,” the company said in a statement accompanying the technical disclosure.
The production model measures 4.17 metres in length, with a 2.60-metre wheelbase. Boot capacity stands at 475 litres, expanding to 1,344 litres with the rear seats folded. Despite differing battery chemistries, kerb weight is broadly similar across the range at around 1,540 kg.

Skoda first previewed the Epiq as a near-production concept at the IAA Mobility show in September 2025, positioning it as a compact SUV counterpart to the Volkswagen ID. Cross concept. Within the group, the Cupra Raval and VW ID. Polo are expected to reach the market first.
Skoda has not confirmed whether a higher-performance RS version will follow, though the brand already offers RS variants on its larger electric models, including the Elroq and Enyaq.
