Indian motorcycle maker Royal Enfield expects to launch its first electric motorcycle, the Flying Flea C6, in early 2026, Chief Executive B. Govindarajan said during a recent earnings call. The executive indicated the model is “almost ready for production” and that “you will see it in the next quarter time window,” offering the clearest timeline yet for the long-anticipated project.
The C6 will inaugurate Royal Enfield’s new Flying Flea electric sub-brand, reviving the name of a lightweight motorcycle the company produced during World War II. Prototype versions were showcased at EICMA 2024 and EICMA 2025 in Milan, where the bike attracted attention for its retro-inspired design, girder-style front suspension, and compact proportions.

Unlike high-performance electric sportbikes, the C6 appears aimed at urban riders seeking a practical and stylish commuter. The design suggests moderate power output, manageable weight, and a battery sized for daily city use rather than long-distance touring. Pricing for European markets has not been announced, though Indian media reports indicate a potential domestic price of about $2,750.
Royal Enfield has also confirmed plans for a second electric model, the Flying Flea S6 scrambler variant, to follow the C6. Together, the two motorcycles represent the company’s first major step into electrification, focusing on lightweight platforms that require smaller battery packs—an approach intended to reduce costs and improve usability in urban environments.
