Rivian has rolled out an expanded package of financial incentives for U.S. customers, combining lease contributions, ultra-low financing rates and third-party discounts in a bid to accelerate deliveries of its 2026 R1 vehicles ahead of the end of the first quarter.

The electric vehicle maker is offering a $6,500 lease contribution on select 2026 R1T and R1S Dual Motor models equipped with the Large or Max battery pack and the Performance Upgrade. The incentive applies to 24- and 36-month leases and is deducted directly from the amount due at signing, reducing upfront costs for customers.

For buyers opting to finance rather than lease, Rivian is offering 0% annual percentage rate financing for up to 60 months on a broad range of 2026 R1 configurations. Eligible trims include Dual Motor Performance, Tri Max and Quad Max variants. Rivian said “very well-qualified” buyers can access the 0% offer without a down payment, aside from a refundable $500 deposit. Other 2026 R1 configurations are being offered with financing rates as low as 1.99% APR for 60 months.

In addition to in-house incentives, Rivian has joined the Costco Auto Program, giving eligible Costco members access to additional discounts on the R1T pickup and R1S SUV. Depending on the model and promotion, discounts range from about $1,000 to $5,000 off the manufacturer’s suggested retail price, according to customer reports.

The combined offers represent a shift in Rivian’s sales strategy, focusing on financing and lease support rather than direct price cuts. Analysts say such incentives are increasingly being used by EV makers to manage inventory and stimulate demand in a more competitive U.S. market.

For customers considering a Rivian purchase or lease in early 2026, the current stack of incentives appears to be among the most aggressive the company has offered since launching the R1 lineup.
