Renault Trucks has unveiled two new electric trucks, the E-Tech D12 and D14, extending its lineup of vehicles designed for urban distribution transport. The vehicles target gross vehicle weights of 12 and 14 tonnes, respectively, and are intended for city-based freight operations across European markets.

Both models are 2.39 metres wide, have a 3.8-metre wheelbase, and are designed for a turning radius of under 7.3 metres, making them the most compact trucks in the manufacturer’s electric range. Full air suspension on both front and rear axles is included to improve comfort and driving stability in urban environments.

Powering the trucks is a 176 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, which provides a range of up to 220 kilometres. AC charging is supported at 43 kW, enabling a full charge in about four hours, while more widely available 22 kW chargers can recharge the battery overnight in roughly eight hours. DC charging specifications were not provided.

Renault Trucks is also offering a suite of software tools for fleet management, allowing operators to monitor charging data, plan routes, and optimise battery usage. A service package called the ’Serenity Pack’ is available to provide guidance and support during the first year of operation.

Production of the E-Tech D12 and D14 takes place at Renault Trucks’ Blainville-sur-Orne facility in France, alongside other electric models. Pricing for the new trucks has not been disclosed.
