Renault has presented the Filante, a new E-segment crossover equipped with the company’s full hybrid E-Tech 250 powertrain, combining a turbocharged petrol engine with two electric motors, according to the automaker.
The Filante is built on the CMA platform and will be produced at Renault Korea’s Busan plant. Market introductions are scheduled to begin in South Korea in March 2026, followed by selected markets in Latin America and the Middle East at a later stage, Renault said.

The hybrid system pairs a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine rated at 150 horsepower and 250 Newton metres of torque with two electric motors integrated into a dedicated hybrid automatic transmission. Total system output is 250 horsepower and 565 Nm. Energy is supplied by a 1.64 kWh lithium-ion battery, allowing the vehicle to operate in electric mode for a significant portion of urban driving, with the vehicle starting in electric mode by default.
Power is managed by Renault’s DHT Pro transmission, which integrates two electric motors, a multi-speed epicyclic gearset and a dual-clutch mechanism to manage transitions between driving modes. Renault said the system can reduce fuel consumption by up to 50% compared with a comparable non-hybrid petrol vehicle, with rated CO₂ emissions of 106 g/km.

New features introduced on the model include emergency collision avoidance with steering intervention, a digital interior rear-view mirror and a child presence detection system.
The crossover measures 4,915 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width and 1,635 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,820 mm and ground clearance of 201 mm. Cargo capacity is rated at 654 litres with the rear seats in place, expanding to 2,071 litres when folded.
