Porsche Unveils Two New Electric Bikes: Cross Performance and Cross Performance EXC

Luxury car manufacturer Porsche has recently introduced two new electric bikes to their lineup, namely the Cross Performance and the Cross Performance EXC. These high-end e-bikes come with a combined average price of $14,800, offering bike enthusiasts a premium riding experience. Developed in collaboration with Rotwild, a renowned manufacturer of electric mountain bicycles, Porsche has drawn inspiration from their iconic sports cars, namely the 911 and the Taycan, to design these cutting-edge bikes.

Both the Cross Performance and the Cross Performance EXC models feature a Shimano EP-801 electric motor and a 630 Wh battery pack. With a carbon frame and 100 mm spring deflection, these bikes boast a Fox 34 Float Factory fork that offers 120 mm of travel, along with a Flat DPS air damper. The rear of each bike is equipped with a Shimano XT Di2 12-speed derailleur, while Magura MT7 disc brakes with four pistons ensure reliable and efficient braking.

Crankbrothers, known for their top-quality components, provides the Synthesis enduro carbon wheels and the Highline 3 Telescopic seat post for both the Cross Performance and the Cross Performance EXC. While the two models share several similarities, the main difference lies in their customizability. The Cross Performance is available in a single color, Silver, while the EXC version can be custom-built in any of the six Porsche Original vehicle colors, offering a personalized touch for the discerning riders.

As the flagship models in the Porsche eBike lineup, the Cross Performance is priced at $14,250, while the EXC variant carries a higher price tag of $15,350. Alongside these new additions, Porsche’s eBike range also includes the eBike Sport and the eBike Cross. Notably, all future Porsche eBikes will feature the Shimano EP-801 motor, ensuring consistent performance across the lineup.

Customers interested in these premium e-bikes can conveniently purchase them online from Porsche’s official store. Additionally, selected Porsche centers and Porsche Design stores offer the option to place orders for these bikes. It is worth mentioning that the Porsche eBike frames are exclusive to the automaker’s lineup and are not mere rebrands of existing Rotwild e-bikes.

With the introduction of the Cross Performance and Cross Performance EXC, Porsche continues to expand its portfolio, providing bike enthusiasts with high-performance electric bikes that embody the brand’s renowned engineering and design excellence.
