Porsche announced that the Taycan variant software can be upgraded to model year 2023 status with a software update. Updates will be applied on a market-specific basis.

Owners are claimed to benefit from benefits such as increased power and efficiency as well as new functions and improvements in Porsche Communications Management (PCM), Porsche Connect and the assistance system.

The update also includes the option to unlock individual functions and equipment after purchase (function on demand/FoD) and will increase the over-the-air (OTA) update capability of all Taycan models.

This update is claimed to be free for owners of Taycans that are officially imported by Porsche Indonesia and can be done during a visit to a Porsche service workshop.

“This campaign will allow our customers to benefit from the further development of the Taycan. We have optimized extensively in almost all aspects since 2019,” said Kevin Giek, Vice President of Model Line Taycan.

Regarding the estimated time, according to him, it depends on the software status of the Taycan. The older the car, the more improvements and innovations it will require.
