2023 Peugeot e-208 uses a new, more powerful electric motor. This upgrade lifts power from 134 hp (136 PS / 100 kW) to 154 hp (156 PS / 115 kW), although the torque output of 191 lb-ft (260 Nm) remains unchanged.
Peugeot has not revealed how the 2023 Peugeot e-208 accelerates, but if you refer to the previous version, the best-selling electric car can accelerate from 0-62 mph (100 km/h) in 8.1 seconds.
2023 Peugeot e-208 uses a new, more efficient battery pack from 50 to 51 kWh (48.1 kWh used). This new battery pack gives a driving range of up to 248 miles (400 km). This means that there is an increased range of up to 24 miles (38 km) on the previous edition car, which had a range of up to 225 miles (362 km).
Other improvements to the 2023 Peugeot e-208 are a heat pump paired with a humidity sensor in the windshield that helps save power when using climate control, tires with low rolling resistance, and a revised transmission ratio.
A 7.4 kW charger is standard, an 11 kW three-phase version is optional and the fairly fast 100 kW charging capability allows the e-208 battery to be charged from 20-80 percent in 25 minutes using a common charger.
