Onvo, the family-oriented sub-brand of Nio, began customer deliveries of its L90 electric SUV on Thursday, just one day after the model’s official launch in China. The company dispatched vehicles across 44 cities, marking the start of a nationwide rollout for its flagship model.
The L90 was officially launched on July 31 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, with a starting price of RMB 265,800 ($36,860), which includes an 85-kWh battery pack. The price is RMB 14,100, or 5.04%, lower than the earlier pre-sale offer of RMB 279,900.

The first units delivered were six-seat variants, with seven-seat options scheduled to follow in late September. Onvo pre-produced a batch of vehicles to support swift delivery and stated that finished units are still available, though matching with customer-selected configurations is required before handover.
Company executives, including Nio co-founder and CEO William Li, were present during the delivery events. Li personally handed over vehicles at a delivery center in Xiaoshan, Zhejiang province. According to management, Onvo’s production and logistics planning enabled the rapid fulfillment, despite rumors that the initial batch had sold out.

Pre-sales for the L90 began on July 10, with test drives commencing on July 23. Initially, 600 L90 test vehicles were available across 400 showrooms in 140 cities. To reduce wait times, Onvo has since expanded that number to 1,000 vehicles.
While the L90 comes standard with an 85-kWh battery, the company also offers a 60-kWh pack in the smaller L60 model.
