Electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla is reportedly preparing to introduce a second interior trim option for the Cybertruck, specifically for those who opt for the Foundation Series model. An image shared on the Cybertruck Owners Forum, sourced from the Cybertruck’s ordering page, showcases the Foundation Series version featuring what Tesla terms as ‘Tactical Grey’ dĂ©cor.
Contrary to the previously observed dark grey leather cabins with white dashboards and accents in other Cybertrucks, the Tactical Grey configuration replaces the white trim with subtler grey materials on the dash and door panels. Notably, a ‘Foundation Series’ badge is visible on the dashboard.

Details regarding the Foundation Series variant remain limited from Tesla’s end, but it has been confirmed that all Cybertrucks delivered thus far have belonged to the Foundation Series.
Tesla plans to offer approximately 20,000 Foundation Series models to customers who have placed reservations for the Cybertruck, with each model commanding a $20,000 premium over its regular counterpart.

The latest information shared on the Cybertruck Owners Forum does not provide a timeline for the availability of the grey interior option. Although Tesla has not disclosed the exact number of Cybertrucks delivered to customers, it is believed to be a limited quantity, and full-scale production is not expected until 2025.
Reports suggest that challenges related to the truck’s 4680 battery cells and the complexity of mastering a dry-coating technique for the cathodes contribute to the delayed production ramp-up.
