NIU has unveiled one of its most striking creations yet at EICMA 2025 — the Concept 06, a high-performance electric maxi-scooter that showcases the company’s ambitious vision for the future of electric two-wheelers. While not yet available for purchase, the Concept 06 attracted significant attention for its futuristic design, premium performance, and technology-driven features that set it apart from NIU’s urban commuter lineup.
The Concept 06 is powered by a 20kW side-mounted motor that delivers a top speed of 155 km/h (96 mph), placing it squarely in motorcycle territory. Its TKX.LAB suspension system promises stability and smoothness, even under aggressive riding conditions, while dual disc brakes ensure confident stopping power. NIU says the design of the Concept 06 aims to balance power and comfort, offering both city agility and long-distance capability.

Technological innovation takes center stage on the Concept 06. The scooter features rear radar with ground projection alerts, adaptive headlights, and dynamic ambient lighting that “breathes” under the chassis, creating a futuristic aesthetic. Inside, riders benefit from electrically adjustable handlebars and windscreen, a tray table for on-the-go convenience, and wireless charging compatibility. Additional rider aids such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Hill-Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, and Push Assist enhance ease of use and safety.
NIU also equips the Concept 06 with 360° camera coverage, including front, rear, and rider-facing cameras, supported by a Sentry Mode that alerts owners if tampering is detected. Other highlights include real-time tire pressure monitoring, regenerative braking, and a self-opening saddle — details that underscore NIU’s push toward premium electric mobility.

Though still a concept, NIU has hinted that the Concept 06 is more than just a design study, suggesting a potential production model could follow.
