Chinese electric vehicle maker Nio celebrated its 11th anniversary on Monday as cumulative deliveries approach one million units, the company said on its mobile app. The milestone coincides with the release of its third-quarter earnings report.
A poster shared on the Nio App indicated that the company’s one-millionth mass-produced vehicle is nearing completion. Nio delivered a record 40,397 vehicles in October, bringing total deliveries since its inception to 913,182.

The company recorded its 100,000th production vehicle on April 7, 2021, a milestone acknowledged by Tesla CEO Elon Musk as a “tough milestone.” Its 500,000th vehicle was produced on May 9, 2024.
Nio operates multiple brands under its umbrella: the premium Nio brand, the mass-market Onvo sub-brand, and the premium small EV Firefly brand. The Onvo brand launched on May 15, 2024, with the L60 model released in September 2024 and the L90 model in July this year. The Firefly brand launched in December 2024, with its first model arriving in April 2025.

During the third quarter of 2025, Nio delivered 87,071 vehicles, slightly below the upper end of its guidance range of 87,000 to 91,000 units. Deliveries rose 40.77% year-on-year and 20.84% quarter-on-quarter. Management will host an earnings call on Tuesday, November 25, at 7:00 a.m. US Eastern time (8:00 p.m. Beijing time). The company is aiming for its first quarterly profit under non-GAAP standards in the final quarter of 2025.
