Neta Auto, the electric vehicle (EV) brand under Hozon Auto, has introduced an updated version of its Neta X SUV, featuring lower prices and upgraded specifications. The revised model is available in four variants, with starting prices of RMB 89,800 ($12,550), RMB 99,800, RMB 114,800, and RMB 124,800, respectively.
Initially launched on October 18, 2023, the original Neta X was priced at RMB 126,800, RMB 136,800, RMB 136,800, and RMB 146,800 for its four variants. On February 19, 2024, Neta Auto reduced the prices of all Neta X variants by RMB 22,000, adjusting the starting prices to RMB 104,800, RMB 114,800, RMB 114,800, and RMB 124,800. A new variant was introduced at RMB 99,800 at that time.
The updated Neta X sees a further price reduction of RMB 10,000, or 10 percent, compared to its predecessor. The compact SUV measures 4,619 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width, and 1,628 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,770 mm.
Neta Auto Launches BEV Variant for Neta L SUV with 510 km Range
The vehicle comes standard with a permanent magnet synchronous motor producing a maximum power of 120 kW and a maximum torque of 220 Nm. The least expensive variant is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack with a capacity of 53.3 kWh and a China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC) range of 401 kilometers. The remaining three variants feature a 63.5 kWh LFP battery pack, offering a CLTC range of 501 kilometers.
Additionally, the updated Neta X continues to utilize the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 cockpit chip, known for its integration in flagship EV models prior to this year. The new model also boasts a 15.6-inch center screen, upgraded from the previous 10.1 inches.
