Neta Auto, a subsidiary of Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker Hozon Auto, is set to commence deliveries of its new model, the Neta L, in April, according to CEO Zhang Yong’s announcement on Weibo today.
The Neta L, yet to be officially launched, is still undergoing discussions regarding its configuration, as mentioned by Zhang. The model has been anticipated for months, with Neta indicating that it will be available in both extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) and battery electric vehicle (BEV) versions.
In a response to a user’s query on Weibo, Zhang revealed that the EREV variant of the Neta L will be equipped with a 40.27-kWh battery pack from CATL. The Neta L is described as a five-seat mid-to-large-size SUV, with dimensions of 4,770 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,660 mm in height, along with a wheelbase of 2,810 mm, according to a previous regulatory filing.
The choice of a 40.27-kWh battery pack for an EREV of this size is significant. For comparison, the entry-level version of Neta’s smaller all-electric SUV, the Neta X, features a 51.8-kWh battery pack.
