Italian motorcycle brand MV Agusta, known for its high-performance motorcycles, continues to make strides in the electric bicycle sector with the launch of its latest model, the Cortina Edizione Limitata. Under the sub-brand E-MV Agusta, dedicated exclusively to e-bikes, the Cortina stands out by combining artistic styling with practicality, targeting urban commuters.

The Cortina’s frame is a sophisticated blend of aluminum and carbon fiber, designed to accommodate a diverse range of riders and featuring convenient cargo mounts for urban utility. The aluminum tubing frame exudes a slim and elegant profile, while the carbon fiber rigid front fork promises a lightweight feel and precise handling.

E-MV Agusta has opted for the Mahle X35 as the motor of choice, a lightweight rear hub unit offering a balance between compact design and natural pedal feel. With a nominal output of 250 watts and 40 newton-meters of torque, the Mahle X35 is complemented by a 250-watt-hour battery pack neatly integrated into the motor housing. The internal battery reportedly provides a range of up to 75 kilometers (46 miles) on a single charge.

The emphasis on lightweight materials and a compact powertrain results in the Cortina weighing an impressive 15.3 kilograms. Further contributing to its performance is a 10-speed drivetrain from Shimano, MT4 disc brakes from Magura, and urban-focused 700x40c Pirelli Cinturato Gravel H tires for all-terrain traction and all-weather capability.

Premium components from top-tier OEMs, including Ritchey leather grips and saddle, as well as a CNC-milled stem and seatpost, add to the bike’s overall appeal. The Cortina Edizione Limitata is priced at 3,800 euros, approximately $4,100 based on current exchange rates.
